Criminal Offenses:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) ranks crimes statistically as Part I, II, and III offenses. For example, the more serious offenses like murder, rape, kidnapping etc. are listed in Part I. Property crimes are listed as Part III offenses.
The report writing and data gathering system that law enforcement agencies including Center Line Police use is from a company called CLEMIS. CLEMIS categorizes crimes in Groups. Group “A” crimes in CLEMIS closely parallel the FBI Part I offenses.
The chart below represents the yearly comparisons of Group A offenses committed in Center Line for the previous four years.
