20th Anniversary Cookbook:
Dining with Friends II
Our 20th Anniversary Cookbooks are here! The Friends of the Center Line Library have published a sequel to our first cookbook in honor of our 20 years of service raising supplemental funding for the Center Line Library. Pick up your copy at the Library, City Hall, or the Recreation Building. The book is dedicated to our Illustrator, the late Jon Buechel, who was a lifelong Center Line resident, and donated his drawings to the Friends of the Library for the original 1995 cookbook. His wife, Shirley Buechel, graciously let us use the pictures for the current cookbook.
The 71-page Dining with Friends II cookbook is a collection of favorite recipes by local contributors, and is one of our major fundraisers for 2013. Proceeds will go to support our library.

Friends of the Library
Consider joining the Friends of the Center Line Library group. The Friends are approaching our 20 Year Anniversary of supporting the library. With book sales, bake sales, and membership dues, the Friends help support library programs like Summer Reading and Children’s holiday parties, making most programs free for library patrons.
|Adults $10||Seniors $5||Students $3|
Our membership is made up of local patrons in Warren and Center Line alike, and includes Friends from Livonia, Hamtramck and Detroit. Each realizes the value of a good library and supports us in a variety of ways, such as:
- Sorting books
- Helping at a book sale
- Donating books, buying books
- Baking for fundraisers
It is easy and fun and in the spirit of giving, we are also on the receiving end, with friendships that last a lifetime.
