Friends of the Library
Won’t you please consider joining the Friends of the Center Line Library? Our membership is made up of local patrons in Warren and Center Line alike, and includes Friends from Livonia, Hamtramck, Berkley, Eastpointe, St. Clair Shores and Royal Oak. Each realizes the value of a good library.
The Friends have raised money for library programs for more than 20 years with our book sales, bake sales, and membership dues. Our very popular and biggest fundraiser is the annual Cookie Walk held at the Recreation Building the night of the Christmas Tree lighting.
We continue to sponsor the following:
Summer Reading Programs for adults, teens and children
‘Pageturners’ Book Club - each month
Children's holiday parties
Our efforts and your dues allow most programs to be offered free to the public.
Adults $10.00 Seniors & Students $5.00
Other ways to support your library:
Donate books (in good condition)
Buy books from our Book Store
Bake for fundraisers
Friends of the Library Tote Bags
Available in burgundy (shown), navy blue, and hunter green with a pocket for your library card.
Our 20th Anniversary Cookbooks are still available! The Friends of the Center Line Library’s sequel to our first cookbook was published in honor of our 20 years of service raising supplemental funding for the Center Line Library’s community programs.
Pick up your $8 copy at the Library, City Hall, or the Recreation Building. The book is dedicated to our Illustrator, the late Jon Buechel, who was a lifelong Center Line resident; he donated his drawings to the Friends of the Library for the original 1995 cookbook. His wife, Shirley Buechel, graciously let us use the pictures for the current cookbook.
Stop in the library to check out our first cookbook--Dining with Friends.
