KIDS KORNER


COLOR THE PARK

Monday, June 28 at the Parks & Recreation Center/City Park 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to come out and “color the park”. We will turn the walking paths of our park into a rainbow of colors for everyone to view. Chalk and refreshments will be provided. Check-in is at the Recreation Building.



CENTER LINE SUMMER DAY CAMP

Begins June 14 and runs thru August 27
For kids ages 5 thru 13
To be held at the Center Line Parks & Recreation Building
Monday thru Friday ~~ 7 a.m. thru 6 p.m.
Our "Day Camp" is a great experience, the kids enjoy, sports, crafts, indoor and outdoor games just to name a few.
We have weekly field trips and daily lunches will be provided by the Free Summer Food Service Program.

All Staff is CPR & First Aid certified

You can sign your child/children up for a daily rate of $30 per child per day
or we have family rates as follows

1 child is $120 per week
2 children is $200 per week
3 children is $260 per week
4 children is $300 per week

dancerJAZZ/TAP DANCE CLASSES

Thursdays, September 23 thru January 6.
Resident Fee: $55 for either tap or jazz or $90 for both classes.
Non Resident Fee: $60 for either tap of jazz or $95 for both classes.
No class 11/11, 11/25, 12/23 or 12/30.

5:30 – 6:00 Tiny Tots 3-4 yrs old (white slippers)
6:05 -6:35 Munchkins 5-6 yrs old (white slippers)
6:40 – 7:10 Jazzettes 7-16 yrs old (white slippers)
6:40-7:10 pm Boys Only (black slippers/tennis shoes)
7:15 – 7:45 Elites – advanced (black slippers)*
7:50 – 8:20 Dazzlers (black slippers)*
* With Instructor Permission

5:30-6:00 Lil Tappers 5-6 yrs
6:05-6:35 Tiny Tappers 3-4 yrs
7:15-7:45 Toe Tappers-7 & up (no experience)
7:50-8:20 Elite Tappers -7 & up (w/experience)

Tap shoes with ribbons must be worn to the first night of class. Jazz slippers required first night of class. Slipper colors needed are noted next to schedule. Meets at the Rec. Center on Thursday nights. Wear a leotard or shorts and a t-shirt (no jeans). Registration is required in advance. No registrations taken the night of class.

 

TENNIS LESSONS

Tuesdays & Thursdays
Classes will take place at Wolfe Middle School Tennis Courts and will be taught by the CLHS Girls Asst. Tennis Coach.

Cost is $40/Residents or $45/Non-Residents ~ Dates are June 22, 24, 29, July 5, 7, 12,14, & 19

12 p.m. – 1 p.m.  Young Beginners (ages 7-10)             Introduction and fundamentals of tennis
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.  Older Beginners (ages 11-17)             Introduction and fundamentals of tennis
2 p.m. – 3 p.m.   Intermediates (ages 11-17)                 Refine skills, advance instruction

 

HUNTER SAFETY COURSE

This class is necessary for anyone who has never had a hunting license and was born after January 1, 1960. This is a weekend class, attendance is mandatory both days. Range time is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a lunch and beverage both days (pop machine available on site). Class is limited to 25. A parent/guardian must register anyone under 18 years of age. Meets at the Center Line Parks & Recreation Center, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fee is $10. Registration will begin June 1st.

BEGINNING BILLIARDS

Wednesdays, July 7 thru August 11 ~ 11 a.m. to 12 noon
Instruction by Too Sweet Billiards   Cost $50

Kids, learn how to play pool the right way, how to play 8 ball, how to control the cue, how to protect the table and the history of billiards and much more. For ages 10-16. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and a pool cue to take home.


DRAMA CAMP

Learn the different aspects of theater such acting, make-up, and costumes.

Class taught by Adella Pietrzyk, CLHS Drama Director.

Dress up in your favorite cosutme and come join for a craft and a walk thru the haunted park. When we're done we'll come back inside for cider and donuts.
