GENERAL RULES:

**Register at the Recreation Center Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
**Refunds are given on cancellations if we fill the spot from a wait list OR if a trip is canceled.
**All trips leave and return to the Recreation Center.
**Please arrive 15 - 20 minutes before scheduled departure time and park IN THE FAR REAR OF THE RECREATION CENTER. NO EARLIER, PLEASE!
**Singles, couples, and groups of all ages are welcome unless noted otherwise.
**SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE BUS.
**Physically challenged participants will board the bus first. All others will board in the order they registered for the trip.

In its 22nd year, this event is one of the premier summer-time activities in Michigan with balloon launches and entertainment for the entire family.

Cabela's is the world's largest hunting, fishing and outdoor store, attracting more than 6 million visitors per year. Cabela's is more than just a store, the massive 225,000 sq. ft. showroom is an educational and entertainment attraction, offering museum-quality animal displays, huge aquariums and trophy animals interacting in realistic re-creations of their natural habitats. It also features gun collections, a shooting range, two hotels, three restaurants, including a cafe that features wild game and a beef jerky outlet. Next, we'll shop in Antique Alley (featuring over 75 dealers) in Blissfield before heading to lunch at the Hathaway House, a Greek revival style architecture home built in 1851 and decorated in the fashion of the Victorian era. It is on the National registry of historic places and offers distinctively decorated dining rooms. We'll finish off our trip with a stop in Adrian, where we'll have an ice cream dessert at The Spotted Cow and spend a bit of time poking our heads into the downtown stores.

"Law and Disorder" A murder mystery!

Travel with us to Genitti's in Northville. Enjoy their famous 7 course family style lunch including Italian wedding soup and garlic bread, pasta, antipasto salad, baked chicken with vegetable, Italian steak with potato, Italian sausage with green peppers and onions and cannoli for dessert. After lunch we’ll move into the theater to see the show! We’ll also take a side trip to a cider mill and make time for shopping in the quaint downtown Northville shops.

ALL ABOARD!! RIDE “THE POLAR EXPRESS"

Ride the train used as the model for the movie “Polar Express”.

We’ll head to the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, MI to look at train history and to hear the story of the magical train who’s actual name is the North Pole Express and Santa’s Village. Shortly thereafter the North Pole Express train arrives with lots of steam, bells and whistles. We’ll then board the train for a 40 minute trip to Santa’s Village in Chesaning. Santa will greet the North Pole Express upon its arrival and invite the children to come play at Santa’s Village. A return trip and were, done for the evening as we watch the train disappear into the night. Food is not allowed on the train however there will be food vendors at Santa’s Village if you get hungry.
