In order to
qualify, the applicant must:

Own and occupy the home.

Reside in the Macomb
“Urban County: jurisdiction (see shaded area on map.)

Have homeowners’ and
flood (if applicable) insurance.
|
 |
Not be delinquent on
property taxes.
|
 |
Have a household income at or below federal
income limits as identified below:

Generally, repairs are
those items which will result in the home being “decent, safe and
sanitary.”
|
Virtually any house repair can be financed through the Program,
including, but not limited to:
Heating and energy items
Entrance/storm doors
Plumbing and sanitary fixtures
Electrical work
Replacement windows
Replacement roofs
Tap-in fees and water service
Septic systems and wells
Vinyl siding.
This program is designed to upgrade homes in the 21 communities which
comprise the Macomb “Urban county,” abut excludes Clinton Township,
Roseville, Saint Clair Shores, Sterling Heights and Warren which have
their own programs. Residents of those communities should apply at
their municipal offices for assistance.
