AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CENTER LINE TO AMEND CHAPTER 74, UTILITIES, ARTICLE III, WATER, SPECIFICALLY SECTION 74-75. LIEN; EFFECTIVE DATE, REGULATION, IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH MICHIGAN STATE LAW MCL 123.165, AND TO REPEAL ANY ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.

CHAPTER 46, OFFENSES, ARTICLE II, OFFENSES AFFECTING GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS, ADDING SECTIONS 46-48 TO 46-55 TO ESTABLISH FEES FOR EXCESSIVE REQUESTS FOR EMERGENCY FIRE ASSISTANCE UNDER PUBLIC ACT 33 OF 1951, AS AMENDED, MCL 41.806A ETC.; TO PROVIDE METHODS FOR THE COLLECTION OF SUCH FEES.


 

ORDINANCE NO. 385

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 46 SECTION 46-270 “FIREWORKS” TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF THE IGNITION, DISCHARGE AND USE OF CONSUMER FIREWORKS, AS ALLOWED UNDER THE MICHIGAN FIREWORKS SAFETY ACT, MCL 28.451 ET SEQ., AS AMENDED


 

ORDINANCE NO. 386

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CENTER LINE TO MAKE INDIVIDUALS IN CONTROL OF PROPERTY BEING USED FOR HOUSE PARTIES RESPONSIBLE FOR PREVENTING THE ILLEGAL CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL AND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES TO PROTECT THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS OF CENTER LINE AND PROVIDE FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.


 

ORDINANCE NO. 387

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF CENTER LINE CODE OF ORDINANCES.

SECTION 14-212 IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

(A) THE BUILDING INSPECTOR OF THE CITY SHALL INSPECT OR SHALL CAUSE TO BE INSPECTED ON A BIENNIAL BASIS ANY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING IN THE CITY INCLUDING THE INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTIAL RENTAL DWELLING UNITS THEREIN.

 

(B) THE BUILDING INSPECTOR SHALL INSPECT OR CAUSE TO BE INSPECTED ON A BIENNIAL BASIS ALL COMMERCIAL UNITS THAT ARE OCCUPIED BY A PERSON OTHER THAN THE OWNER OF THE PROPETY ON A LEASE OR RENTAL BASIS FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME IN ANY ONE CALENDAR YEAR.

 

 

(C) RESIDENTIAL RENTAL UNITS THAT ARE INSPECTED BY HOUSING PROFESSIONALS UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD), THE MICHIGAN STATE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (MSHDA), OR AN AGENCY THAT IS A SUB-RECIPIENT OF FUNDING FROM EITHER HUD OR MSHDA EXCEPT UNITS RENTED UNDER THE HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM ARE EXEMPT FROM BIENNIAL INSPECTION PROVIDED THAT PROOF OF SAID INSPECTION IS PRESENTED WHEN THE RESIDENTIAL RENTAL UNIT IS REGISTERED.
